Impeachment Documents Signed By President Donald Trump Are Up For Auction

A copy of the Committee of the Judiciary House of Representatives’ motion to impeach President Donald Trump is up for auction by Goldin Auctions.

The current high bid is $20,400, including buyer’s premium, with five days left of bidding.

The full report is signed in Trump’s signature Sharpie across the front page.

President Trump was impeached on December 18, while at a rally in Battle Creek, Michigan, when he was asked to sign a copy of the document by a man named Jonathan Moore, a member of the U.S. Department of State.

“While at the rally, while the House was debating the impeachment and just prior to the full votes, according the notarized letter of provenance that accompanies this thick packet, Trump signed the title page of this multi-hundred-page document in black pen,” the auction description reads. “Trump signed his name in bold black marker across the page. A unique piece of history having the sitting US President multi-signing the document that led to his historic impeachment.”

Moore states in his letter of provenance that he “attended President Trump’s rally in Battle Creek, Michigan on December 17th, 2019 and asked him to sign the Articles of Impeachment that I handed him, and he happily complied. The President had been impeached by Congress just hours earlier.”

While signing the articles of impeachment, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi used 30 different pens to sign her name. Those pens are estimated to be worth some $1.5 million.

“Maryland-based Alexander Historical Auctions said that the 30 customized, black and gold pens Pelosi used to sign the articles of impeachment against President Trump could fetch up to $50,000 each at auction,” The Washington Examiner reported.
