Mayor Eric Garcetti on Monday announced he is suspending all farmer’s markets in Los Angeles after 44 deaths were confirmed in the city.
All farmer’s markets in place must submit new plans to the city to re-open.
It appears the ‘see something, say something’ campaign is finally working because Garcetti made the decision to suspend farmer’s markets after pictures of a crowded market in Brentwood went viral.

Mayor Eric Garcetti already announced that the city will be shutting off water and power to any non-essential businesses that defied orders and stayed open during the Coronavirus crisis.
During his press briefing last week Garcetti announced that the Department of Water and Power will be shutting off services for the businesses that don’t comply with the “safer at home” ordinance.
The Los Angeles Mayor also warned of mass deaths, condemned Trump’s “false hope” of the country reopening soon and said his city will be on lockdown until at least May, maybe even longer.
There are currently 2,474 confirmed cases of Coronavirus and 44 deaths in Los Angeles, a city of 4 million people, yet the Mayor is virtually shutting every business down.
