In the past month as Trump has led the fight against the coronavirus, his approval number as risen five points and his disapproval dropped seven points.

Trump also has a slightly higher approval for his handling of the COVID-19 Chinese coronavirus crisis than his predecessor President Barack Obama for his handling of the Ebola virus six years ago, 51 to 49.

A breakdown of the poll results show Trump’s strongest support comes from men and people over forty.

ABC notes 66 percent of Americans have confidence in the federal government’s ability to handle the coronavirus.

Liberals and media figures have called for news outlets to stop live broadcasting Trump’s daily White House coronavirus task force briefings that have given the American people an unfiltered view of the President and his team.
