On Tuesday night’s Last Word, MSNBC host Lawrence O’Donnell, proved that the network will give a platform to anyone who hates President Trump, regardless of how radical they may be. Dr. Lance Dodes, a retired Assistant Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School, called Trump a “killer” along the lines of “Hitler or Stalin.”
Prior to the disgusting discussion, O’Donnell discussed how the release of Mary Trump’s new book, did not teach him anything, but rather reassured what he previously thought:
Mary Trump is a clinical psychologist, and in that capacity, she is the first mental health professional who has been able to offer a diagnosis of Donald Trump based on actual personal observation of the patient. Now, I started calling Donald Trump a liar the minute he opened his mouth about President Barack Obama's birth certificate in 2011, and then I started calling him a pathological liar when he couldn't stop talking about it…Mary Trump agrees with the finding that Donald Trump is a narcissist.
Following O’Donnell’s praise of a book that he did not read, he brought on Dr. Dodes, likely one of the most radical quests he has had on his program. Dodes’ comments are in the ranks of David Johnston stating, “She did do sleazy porn” when discussing Melania Trump, and Anita Freeman, who called it a “crime” for Catholics and Latinos to oppose euthanasia.
In the unhinged exchange, Dodes called Trump “evil,” a narcissist, and even goes as far to put him in the same category as Hitler and Stalin:
But Donald Trump is a true psychopath. He's, in coddle language, he’s evil. That's not name calling, that's accurate. That's to emphasize that he's simply different from other human beings. So that's what I really took away from the book. I think she's right when she says that narcissism goes only so far. That's right. Narcissism is the least of his troubles. He's like, you know, other psychopaths, he's like a serial killer. He has killed a lot of people. He’s like Hitler or Stalin.
Claiming that Trump was “like a serial killer” was an incredibly repulsive statement, and placed him among the likes of some of the most famous mass murders in history was categorically false. Hitler was responsible for the murder of six million Jews, and Stalin killed nearly twenty million people. Inane rhetoric like this was why the radical left have felt the need to make calls for violence against Trump and his supporters, facts be damned.
Dodes encapsulated the radical left and how they’ve refused to accept the results of the 2016 election, and therefore must smear Trump, even if it meant falsely asserting “he has killed a lot of people”. O’Donnell and Dodes have repeatedly have endorsed the idea of Trump being a psychopath, and MSNBC let them do it.

LAWRENCE O’DONNELL: Mary Trump is a clinical psychologist, and in that capacity, she is the first mental health professional who has been able to offer a diagnosis of Donald Trump based on actual personal observation of the patient. Now, I started calling Donald Trump a liar the minute he opened his mouth about President Barack Obama's birth certificate in 2011, and then I started calling him a pathological liar when he couldn't stop talking about it. I finally got strong, professional support for that diagnosis toward the end of the first year of the Trump presidency when a group of mental health experts invoking the ethical mandate that psychiatrists call the duty to warn, published the book "The Dangerous Case of Donald Trump: 37 Psychiatrists and Mental Health Experts Assess a President." In the latest paperback edition of that book, ten more mental health experts joined in diagnosing Donald Trump. One of the original authors of that book will join us in a moment. Mary Trump agrees with the finding that Donald Trump is a narcissist.

O’DONNELL: Leading off our discussion tonight, Tim O’Brian, the Senior Columnist for Bloomberg Opinion, he is the author of "TrumpNation," and Dr. Lance Dodes is with us, he’s a psychoanalysis, and retired Assistant Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Dodes is a contributor to the bestselling book, "The Dangerous Case of Donald Trump: 37 Psychiatrists and Mental Health Experts Assess a President." And Dr. Dodes, let me begin with you, because this is the first, in any sense, report you've been able to see of a mental health professional with actual close access and contact to Donald Trump in effect reporting on him. What is your reaction to what we have learned so far from Mary Trump's book?
DR. LANCE DODES (PSYCHONALYSIS): It makes a lot of sense to me. I think that when she says in terms of what you just said, the difference between her father, who was lying because he was defensive, he was trying to protect himself from his father, who was punitive, and Donald, who was lying to just help himself, no matter who he hurt. That's the key problem that our field has been dealing with in trying to understand him. Donald Trump is just different from other people. Other people can lie and cheat and perhaps they have reasons, which we all try to understand in our kind of work. Those people are just different. It's a rare edition, different from other people. And yes, cheating is a way of life, lying is a way of life, hurting people, he has no conscience. I think she's showing us where that came from.
