The leftist media are so desperate to drag Joe Biden across the finish line in November that they are willing endorse any vile accusation the Democratic nominee hurls against President Trump, even to the point of exploiting a deadly natural disaster. That lapdog obedience to the Biden campaign was on full display Tuesday morning as all three network morning shows cheered their candidate labeling Trump a “climate arsonist” who was to blame for California wildfires.
At the top of ABC’s Good Morning America, co-host Robin Roberts declared a “Wildfire Apocalypse,” before reciting DNC talking points: “President Trump visits hard-hit California and dismisses climate change as a problem....Joe Biden now calling the president a, quote, ‘climate arsonist.’”
Minutes later, correspondent Kaylee Hartung wailed: “The President visiting California between campaign stops, dismissing climate change, instead blaming dry, dead wood piled up on the forest floor.” She then touted state Democrats trying to lecture him on climate hysteria:
HARTUNG: California’s governor and local officials pushing back.
GOV. GAVIN NEWSOM: We come from a perspective, humbly, where we submit the science is in and observed evidence is self-evident that climate change is real.
WADE CROWFOOT [CALIFORNIA NATURAL RESOURCES AGENCY SECRETARY]: If we ignore that and sort of put our head in the sand and think it’s all about vegetation management, we’re not going to succeed together protecting Californians.
Turning to another Democrat, Hartung proclaimed: “Earlier in the day, Joe Biden criticizing Trump for what he describes as his disdain for science and facts.” A soundbite ran of Biden going on an irresponsible tirade: “If you give a climate arsonist four more years in the White House, why would anyone be surprised if we have more America ablaze?”
No attempt was made to fact-check Biden’s wild claim or scold him for his disgusting rhetoric.
Leading off CBS This Morning, co-host Anthony Mason heralded: “Climate fight. President Trump refuses to accept climate change as a factor in the wildfires, drawing harsh words from Joe Biden.”
Introducing the report a short time later, fellow co-host and Democratic donor Gayle King acted as spokesperson for the Biden campaign:
The twin disasters are giving the presidential candidates one more thing to fight about today. In California, President Trump dismissed scientific evidence that climate change is behind the extreme weather. Democratic nominee Joe Biden called him a climate arsonist who is endangering Americans.
After citing California Democrats getting on their climate change soapbox, correspondent Weijia Jiang helpfully added: “Former Vice President Joe Biden blasted the President, who has rolled back climate regulations and downplayed the threat of climate change for years.” Following a clip of Biden’s attack, Jiang sneered: “Mr. Trump is ignoring scientific recommendations on another front, holding his second indoor event in a row out west with little social distancing and few masks.”
“Fanning the flames? With wildfires ravaging the west, wiping out entire neighborhoods....President Trump heads to California and dismisses climate concerns,” co-host Hoda Kotb announced as NBC’s Today show began, echoing the sentiment from Biden.
On Monday night, all three evening newscasts were similarly eager to push Biden’s “arsonist” invective.
The only time the Democratic presidential candidate ever seems to be cited in the press is when he has something nasty to say about Trump. A viewer would be hard-pressed to find a single report that actually critically analyzes Biden’s policy proposals or holds him accountable for his scandals. That’s because ABC, CBS, and NBC are nothing more than propaganda arms of the Democratic Party.
This applauding of Biden’s outrageous declaration was brought to ABC viewers by Casper, to CBS viewers by Capital One, and to NBC viewers by Honda. You can fight back by letting these advertisers know what you think of them sponsoring such content.
