Outsiders are funding nearly the entire cost of Georgia’s Democrat Senate candidates Jon Ossoff’s and Rev. Raphael Warnock’s campaigns, a new report said.
This is the same Fidel Castro-sympathizing Warnock who referred to himself as a “pro-choice pastor,” and the same Ossoff who has ties to Communist China. Warnock, in particular, had also disparaged service in the U.S. military, telling church parishioners in 2011, “America, nobody can serve God and the military.” Oh, and let’s not forget that Warnock also has a record of spewing anti-Semitic hate at Israel.
Of the $100 million each of the two leftist candidates have hauled in the last two months, “95 percent of that money is coming from outside of the Peach State,” according to the New York Post. The biggest financial backers reportedly are based in “the Democratic strongholds of New York City, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Seattle.”
New York and California liberals are sparing no expense to ensure Democrats win the U.S. Senate majority after the Georgia runoff elections in January.
The Post broke the numbers down. Of the itemizable donations able to be traced, the Post discovered that Californians gave $14.7 million to Ossoff’s campaign against his opponent Sen. David Perdue, (R-GA). The newspaper said California money accounted for “26.43 percent of [Ossoff’s] total haul.” On the other hand, New Yorkers gave $6 million to Ossoff, “dwarfing the $2.5 million Georgians donated to his campaign.”
The numbers were just as stark for Warnock, who is looking to unseat Sen. Kelly Loeffler (R-GA). Records reviewed by the Post revealed that Warnock received a total of $11.7 million from California and $4.7 million from New York, “overshadowing the $2.6 million he raised in Georgia.”
The Post contextualized the spending, suggesting that it’s indicative of Wall Street’s, Hollywood's and Silicon Valley’s overarching efforts to swing the 2020 elections to Democrats:
The nationwide fundraising blitzes echo earlier races where Silicon Valley, Wall Street and Hollywood opened their wallets to unsuccessfully bankroll multiple Democratic challengers in a bid to hand Joe Biden undivided control of Washington.
These new records showing New York and California donors meddling in other states’ elections are pretty familiar. One glaring example is the $100 million New York billionaire Michael Bloomberg was bleeding through in his failed bid to help former Vice President Joe Biden win the state of Florida.
The Post concluded:
Democrats are hopeful they can flip both seats in the once-ruby red state after Biden narrowly carried Georgia over Trump, becoming the first Democrat to win in a presidential election there since Bill Clinton defeated former President George H.W. Bush in 1992.
