With Joe Biden's inauguration a week away, the unthinkable is unfolding at Univision as they actively question Biden's reluctance to fulfil one of his boldest campaign promises – legalizing millions of undocumented immigrants within his first 100 days in office.
Watch this clip from Univision's Despierta America morning talk show, where California activist Juan José Gutiérrez not only demands that Biden live up to his much-promised immigration reform, but turns against African-American voters, who, as per his infantile rant, have been able to meet with Biden and his team, while Latinos haven't.
SOCORRO CRUZ: Now then, the president-elect has said that he won't get rid of President Trump's immigration laws, because we could get up to 2 million applications for political asylum, something that has greatly outraged the community of immigration activists and lawyers. This morning, we're with Juan José Gutierrez. You told me that this morning you are going to have a very important national activity today. What are you going to do?
JUAN JOSE GUTIERREZ: Well, today we'll have activities in Delaware, and here in California, to call for unity to pressure President-elect Joseph Biden into giving us immigration reform as he promised on the campaign trail.
CRUZ: Of course. He said we would do it within the first 100 days. Now, you were also telling us that neither Biden nor his team have met with Latino representatives, yet he has already had several meetings with the African-American community. Why is that?
GUTIERREZ: Well it would seem that way, and we hope that this is not the case, that the African-American vote is more highly valued than a Latino vote. We believe that a vote is a vote, and that we all should be judged equally. The African-American vote is as important as the Latino vote is, as is everyone’s vote.
CRUZ: Now, you were also mentioning to me that Biden won California thanks to the Latino vote. What would have happened had (Latinos) not voted for Biden?
GUTTIÉRREZ: No doubt the president...right now the president-elect would be Donald Trump again for four more years. A real tragedy for immigrants and for all Latinos.
The reporter, Socorro Cruz, failed to mention that a caravan, enticed by Biden's campaign promises, has departed from Honduras and is on its way to the Southern border. She did mention, however, that “the President-Elect has said he won't get rid of President Trump's immigration laws, because we could get up to 2 million applications for political asylum”, something that she added, “has greatly outraged the community of immigration activists and lawyers.”
Activist Gutiérrez, a regular liberal source at the Spanish-speaking media who spent the last four years whining about Donald Trump, turned his ire towards the Black vote: “Well, it seems to be… that the vote of an African-American is valued more than a Latino vote.” In his zest to project himself as the savior of undocumented immigrants, he effectively comes out as a racist.
It is not often that we get to see, in real time, the competing demands for attention and jockeying between ethnic-interest lobbying groups demanding payment for their political support -- the exact opposite of E Pluribus Unum.
The one great truth to be had from this Univision report, was Gutierrez's admission that the (empty) migration reform campaign promise made by Biden, misled many credulous Latinos into voting for him, only to be deceived.

SATCHA PRETTO: Good morning. Pro-immigrant activists today call on President-elect Joe Biden to keep his campaign promise and push for immigration reform. He would otherwise go back on his commitment to eliminate Trump's policies during his first hundred days of rule. This, after the revelation of a national security report that warns of an aggravation of the border crisis as Socorro Cruz tells us, live from Los Angeles. Hi, good morning.
SOCORRO CRUZ: Good morning Satchita. Note that the immigrant community has not seen any relief since President Ronald Reagan signed the amnesty for the undocumented 36 years ago. Now then, the president-elect has said that he won't get rid of President Trump's immigration laws, because we could get up to 2 million applications for political asylum, something that has greatly outraged the community of immigration activists and lawyers. This morning, we're with Juan José Gutierrez. You told me that this morning you are going to have a very important activity today at a national level. What are you going to do?
JUAN JOSE GUTIERREZ: Well, today we'll have activities in Delaware, and here in California, to call for unity to pressure President-elect Joseph Biden into giving us immigration reform as he promised on the campaign trail.
CRUZ: He said we would do so within the first 100 days. Now, you were also telling us that neither Biden nor his team have met with Latino representatives, yet he has already had several meetings with the African-American community.
GUTIERREZ: Well it would seem that way, and we hope that this is not the case, that the vote of an African-American is valued more so than a Latino vote.
CRUZ: Fine. Then you ask Biden and Harris to quickly keep their election promises and grant an immigration reform.
GUTTIÉREZ: To fulfill the promise of immigration reform to legalize the millions of undocumented people, and to meet with us immediately, as we have been asking.
CRUZ: Thank you very much. You heard him, Satcha. This is what immigration activists and lawyers are requesting. We will be watching this issue and of course, reporting in a timely manner. I’m Socorro Cruz. Back to you.
