Democrat socialist congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez showed she has little interest in uniting the country let alone being a decent human being, by her tweet reply to Senator Ted Cruz on Thursday, accusing her colleague of trying to have her “murdered." The View’s liberal hosts Sunny Hostin and Ana Navarro applauded the Democrat’s vile accusation on Friday’s show, saying the Republican had “blood on his hands" for the Capitol Hill riot.
Moderator Joy Behar brought up the AOC tweet in a discussion about the Robinhood-Gamestop-Wall Street debacle. Cruz had come out on Twitter to charitably agree with his Democrat colleague, but instead she responded with a venomous tweet demanding he resign and accusing him of murder. Sunny Hostin and Ana Navarro fully agreed with the nasty smear:
HOSTIN: I agree with Congresswoman Ocasio-Cortez, because think about it. The insurrection at the Capitol happened three weeks ago, and Republicans want to say, nothing the see here. Let's just unify on these issues. Yes, some of these are very important issues, but let's remember just three weeks ago they were all hiding in the Capitol from people that were trying to hang Vice President Pence, that were armed insurrectionists, armed domestic terrorists, trying to kill them. There needs to be accountability, not only for former disgraced, twice impeached President Trump, but also for people like Ted Cruz, like Josh Hawley, like QAnon Marjorie Greene, like [Lauren] Bohbert. There needs to be accountable before there can be unification so that they can talk about these important issues in our country.
ANA NAVARRO: In my book, Ted Cruz has blood on his hands, okay? He is one of the protagonists that peddled lies that led to the incitement of people that raided the Capitol and got people killed. People lost their lives because of actions that Ted Cruz took. So there is nothing that he's going to do that I'm going to normalize or that I'm going to applaud, and for the last four years -- two years, he's been calling Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez a Socialist who's going to turn America into Venezuela.
….I'm going to focus on the fact that Ted Cruz has blood on his hands, and that's what I care about. If they're going to agree on anything, let them agree on a COVID relief bill or let them agree on raising the minimum wage.
In response to Navarro, Meghan McCain said she should care about this topic because it will impact stocks that the average American invests in and we are already in a terrible recession. Navarro retorted back with the usual liberal logic: Improve the economy with more government checks!
"Forget about stocks. They can't pay their food bill. So, you know, agree on the COVID relief bill or maybe agree on raising the minimum wage, and then you can lecture me on stocks and, you know, the worth of Disney stocks," she fumed.

SUNNY HOSTIN: AOC clapped back and Ted Cruz said, I completely agree with you. AOC however, said this. She tweeted, I am happy to work with Republicans on this issue where there's common ground, but you almost had me murdered three weeks ago, so you can sit this one out. Happy to work with almost any of the GOP that aren't trying to get me killed. In the meantime, if you want to help, you can resign, and I agree with congresswoman ocasio-cortez, because think about it.
There needs to be accountability, not only for former disgraced, twice impeached president trump, but also for people like Ted Cruz, like Josh Hawley, like QAnon Marjorie Greene, like [Laruen] Bohbert. JOY BEHAR: Right, but it doesn't look like that's happening, does it, Ana?
ANA NAVARRO: This entire story, I don't even understand. The only thing that makes sense to me is Trevor Noah being in a bathtub with bubbles, and champagne. Look. What am I supposed to do? Throw flares up in the sky, you know, celebrate? Drink champagne myself because AOC and Ted Cruz all of a sudden agree on something for five hot seconds? In my book, Ted Cruz has blood on his hands, okay? He is one of the protagonists that peddled lies that led to the incitement of people that raided the Capitol and got people killed.
People lost their lives because of actions that Ted Cruz took. So there is nothing that he's going to do that I'm going to normalize or that I'm going to applaud, and for the last four years -- two years, he's been calling Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez a Socialist who's going to turn America into Venezuela.
So to me this is a red herring, this is gaslighting so we don’t continue talking about the fact that the , the Republican party continues being beholden to a man that has destroyed the party and continues being replaced where whack jobs who are, you know, QAnon conspiracy theorists and a threat to America like Marjorie Taylor Greene are finding a home. So I'm not going to focus on Reddit or Robinhood or any of those other terms I don't know. I'm going to focus on the fact that Ted Cruz has blood on his hands, and that's what I care about. If they're going to agree on anything, let them agree on a COVID relief bill or let them agree on raising the minimum wage.
