MSNBC: Don’t Blame Biden For Virus Problems; It’s All Trump’s Fault

Posted on 27 February 2021

Don't you dare blame Joe Biden for any shortcomings regarding the coronavirus. It's not like he's president or anything. That was the recurring theme on Nicolle Wallace's MSNBC show this afternoon. From The Washington Post's Ashley Parker, to Michael Steele of the infamous Lincoln Project, to MSNBC Dr. Irwin Redlener, to Wallace herself, the theme was pounded home—don't go blaming Joe: it's all on Trump!     Former RNC Chairman Michael Steele [incredibly, yes] explicitly called for the blame-shifting: "I get a lot of folks coming at the Biden administration about, okay, why hasn't this happened, and what are you doing about this, and what are you doing about that? Can we just check that for a moment? And understand that this administration is now doing what should have been done a year ago!" Yeah: got that? Lay off Biden! You gotta problem with the coronavirus situation? Blame Trump! Question: is there any statute of limitations on the liberal media blaming things on President Trump? Should the end of President Kamala's Harris second term [!] come to pass in 2032, will the MSM still be pinning things on 45? MSNBC blaming President Trump for all the Biden administration's coronavirus shortcomings was sponsored in part by Applebee's, Safelite, T-Mobile, and TD Ameritrade. Here's the transcript. Click "expand" to read more.  MSNBC Deadline White House 2/24/21 5:08 pm ET ASHLEY PARKER: The Biden administration is still dealing with the aftermath, in many ways, of Trumpism. . . .  MICHAEL STEELE: Um, look. I get a lot of folks coming at the Biden administration about, okay, why hasn't this happened, and what are you doing about this, and what are you doing about that? Can we just check that for a moment? And understand that this administration is now doing what should have been done a year ago? . . .  DR. IRWIN REDLENER: But you know, a lot of what we're talking about really is to, to emphasize what Michael Steele was just saying. There's a lot of damage that has to be undone. Damage caused by the incredible incompetence and misinformation that was promoted by the Trump administration. And so, much of the work that's being done now by the Biden team, is to try to neutralize some of that horrendous damage. It's going to be really difficult to reverse.  . . .  NICOLLE WALLACE: And Ashley, speaking of sort of unwinding the legacy of the last administration . . . This is an all-hands-on-deck effort, that again reveals the extreme negligence of the last team.
