President Trump announced an official national emergency on Friday from the Rose Garden in response to the Wuhan Coronavirus.
The President was flanked by powerful CEOs from Walmart, Target, CVS and Walgreens who all vowed to work with Trump to combat the Coronavirus.
Walmart announced they will make portion of their lots available for screening and testing.
Walgreens and Target vowed to make their available to the American public.
Target CEO, “Today we are focused on a common competitor.”
This was an amazing and historic announcement!
The market responded positively and rallied. The DOW was up over 9% Friday afternoon.
In addition to announcing an expansive Coronavirus effort, the President said he will be helping students and families by waiving interest on all student loans held by federal government agencies until further notice.
