British Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced via a Twitter video Friday morning that he has tested positive for the COVID-19 Chinese coronavirus.

Johnson is the first major world leader to test positive for the virus.
“Over the last 24 hours I have developed mild symptoms and tested positive for coronavirus.I am now self-isolating, but I will continue to lead the government’s response via video-conference as we fight this virus. Together we will beat this. #StayHomeSaveLives”

Johnson, 55, and girlfriend Carrie Symonds 31, announced last month they are engaged to be married. The couple are expecting a child this summer.
