President Donald Trump scolded the perpetually bitter PBS NewsHour reporter Yamiche Alcindor during the press briefing in the White House Rose Garden on Sunday.
The president told Alcindor to “be nice” and that the negativity is why “nobody trusts the media anymore.”

The exchange began when Alcindor asked President Trump about an interview with Fox News’s Sean Hannity in which he said that some requests made by governors for coronavirus help were overblown or unnecessary.
“Why don’t you act in a little more positive…it’s always get ya, get ya, get ya,” Trump replied. “You know what? That’s why nobody trusts the media anymore.”
“That’s why you used to work for the [New York] Times and now you work for somebody else,” he added. “Look, let me tell you something: Be nice. Don’t be threatening.”
Alcindor was able to ask the president a second question after CNN’s Jeremy Diamond passed her the microphone during his turn. She asked “which health professionals are telling you that more people will die from the economic impact than coronavirus?”
In a reply to another @Yamiche question, Trump recounts an incredibly vivid scenario of a future depression. This is one of the most detailed responses I’ve ever seen him give to anything. pic.twitter.com/guNHBEzyuE
