Cheese Head: Brett Favre Compares Kaepernick to Pat Tillman

Posted on 22 June 2020

Yep. Add Brett Favre to the list of former NFL players who took a couple too many shots to the head. To be fair, the legendary Packers QB was asked a stupid question. He gave a stupid answer.  In an interview with TMZ sports, Favre was asked whether anthem kneeling, cops-as-pigs sock-wearing Castro fanboy Colin Kapernick should get a spot on a team. Yes, he said,  was a good QB. Then came the stupid question:  You look at Colin Kapernick, you people look at him as like a Jackie Robinson or Muhammed Ali. Is Colin Kaepernick someone that belongs in Canton some day for what he did -- obviously leading a team to the Superbowl -- but also for what he’s done off the field? A smarter man than Brett Favre would at that point have pretended to have audio trouble. “Couldn’t hear the q … you’re breaking up … technical problem, gotta cut it short …” Tragically, those holes in his cheesehead don’t lie. He said how hard it was for a guy “to stop what you’ve always dreamed of doing, and put it on hold -- maybe forever -- for something that you believe in.” It got worse: I can only think of -- right off the top of my head -- Pat Tillman's another guy who did something similar, and we regard him as a hero. So I'd assume that hero status will be stamped with Kaepernick as well.” Pat Tillman, of course, left the NFL after 9/11 to fight for his country. He became a Green Beret and was killed in Afghanistan. Colin Kaepernick is an anti-American jackass who walked away from a contract with the 49ers and has been trying to get back into the NFL ever since. He’s been unsuccessful because teams understand that most paying football fans are patriotic Americans who don’t don’t like seeing a millionaire athlete disrespect the nation that gave him everything.  But other than that, great comparison, Brett.
