As part of the propaganda wing of the Democratic Party, on Friday, ABC’s Good Morning America made sure to do its part in celebrating Joe Biden supposedly being “on the offensive” against President Trump. Like Thursday night, the network also made sure to ignore Biden blatantly lying about the number coronavirus deaths in the United States, wildly claiming there had been 120 million.
“On the offensive, former Vice President Joe Biden says President Trump needs to face the reality of the pandemic,” fill-in co-host Cecilia Vega proclaimed at the top of the show. Considering Biden falsely declared that a third of nation’s population had been wiped out by the virus, perhaps he’s the one who needs to return to “reality.”
After a clip ran of Biden dourly telling Americans that “there are no miracles coming,” Vega swooned: “The presumptive Democratic nominee’s strongest attack yet, with just over four months until Election Day.”
Minutes later, correspondent Mary Bruce introduced a free campaign ad for the candidate: “Joe Biden now with his fiercest attacks against the President. He is comparing Trump to a whiny child and saying he can’t just wish this virus away.” What followed was a combination of Bruce gushing over the Democrat and Biden hurling insults at the President:
VEGA: Biden says Trump is more concerned with himself than the well-being of average Americans.
BIDEN: He thinks that finding out that more Americans are sick will make him look bad.
VEGA: Biden using his harshest language yet.
BIDEN: He’s like a child who can’t believe this has happened to him, all his whining and self-pity. Well, this pandemic didn’t happen to him, it happened to all of us. And his job isn’t to whine about it, his job is to do something about it, to lead.
It’s almost impossible to tell where the “reporting” ends and Biden’s partisan rambling begins.
The only point of a segment like this is for ABC to make a donation to the Biden campaign without having to actually write a check.

GEORGE STEPHANOPOULOS: And now to President Trump defiant in the face of falling polls and rising COVID cases. He appeared without a mask at a town hall in Wisconsin as Joe Biden took on the President’s handling of the crisis in Pennsylvania. Mary Bruce is tracking the latest in the race for the White House. Good morning, Mary.
MARY BRUCE: Good morning, George. Well, we are seeing this remarkable split screen as the campaigns heat back up. Joe Biden now with his fiercest attacks against the President. He is comparing Trump to a whiny child and saying he can’t just wish this virus away. While the President, it seems, is trying to turn the page, eager to project that the virus is under control.

Even as coronavirus cases are surging, President Trump is eager to move on, repeating this false claim.
DONALD TRUMP: So we have more cases because we do the greatest testing. If we didn’t do testing, we’d have no cases.
VEGA: Overnight at a Fox News town hall, the audience required to wear a mask, but not the President. His rival, Joe Biden, says Trump needs to face reality.
JOE BIDEN: We’re going to be dealing with this for a long time. Trump can’t wish it away. He can’t bend it to meet his political wishes. There are no miracles coming.
VEGA: Biden says Trump is more concerned with himself than the well-being of average Americans.
BIDEN: He thinks that finding out that more Americans are sick will make him look bad.
VEGA: Biden using his harshest language yet.

VEGA: Trump is staking his re-election on the virus being under control and is promising an economic comeback.
TRUMP: Under this administration, you know that American workers like you are a national treasure.
VEGA: But a new ABC News/Ipsos poll out this morning shows that a majority of Americans, 56%, think the country is moving too quickly to re-open.
And later this afternoon, something we haven’t seen here in nearly two months, the President’s Coronavirus Task Force will be holding an on-camera briefing for the public. Right now the President, though, is not slated to attend.
