The coronavirus cases have risen recently (while the daily deaths have fallen) in the United States. So who is to blame? The Washington Post points its finger at a number of groups while notably avoiding mention of one very left-wing cause which gathered in the thousands recently without practicing social distancing.
On Saturday, the Washington Post pointed its righteous finger of castigation at a number of politically safe targets while largely avoiding one which the woke culture prevalent there would consider off limits. You can read all about their attempt to remain in the political safe zone in "Young people urged to take virus more seriously as pandemic worsens in U.S."
Health officials are imploring young people to wear masks and practice social distancing as coronavirus transmission among younger Americans continued to drive record outbreaks in several states.
...Officials across the country — from Ohio to Arizona — said coronavirus cases among young people were spiking as many red states that were slow to shut down in the early days of the pandemic threw their doors open again.
...Mark Escott, Austin’s medical director, said case investigation and contact tracing are challenging because people have been interacting with more people in recent weeks. His team recently learned about a large party in the city’s western suburbs that attracted 300 to 400 high schoolers to a single location. The students were together for hours.
Hmm... And what other situation was there that has prominently been in the news where "people have been interacting with more people in recent weeks?"
Tulsa health director Bruce Dart said new cases and hospitalizations are at record highs; 40 percent of the cases and a quarter of hospitalizations from the virus are among people ages 18 to 35. Last weekend 6,200 people attended an indoor rally with President Trump.
Of course, the Trump rally in Tulsa had to be mentioned but what other situation happened all over the country where people were in close contact with each other recently?
If you haven't guessed as to which series of events got a pass in the coronavirus case rise blame, health officials themselves recently gave them a political pass for not practicing social distancing with an incredibly double standard letter which said in part:
Staying at home, social distancing, and public masking are effective at minimizing the spread of COVID-19. To the extent possible, we support the application of these public health best practices during demonstrations that call attention to the pervasive lethal force of white supremacy. However, as public health advocates, we do not condemn these gatherings as risky for COVID-19 transmission.
Yup! While they obsess over stupid youngsters socializing in bars, the Post story made only a brief mention of left-wing protests in paragraph 16, but you can't pin anything on that!
There have not been large increases in infections in Minnesota, New York and the District, where the country’s largest protests against police brutality took place earlier this month. It is difficult to know whether protests are causing a rise in states with skyrocketing infection rates, including Texas, where statistics show that 1 in 10 tested are positive.
