MSNBC host Rachel Maddow has long had a bizarre obsession over Donald Trump, during both his candidacy and presidency, and will say anything to delegitimize his presidency. On Thursday night’s episode of The Rachel Maddow Show, she overtly stated that Trump was elected because he committed a crime.
Like many members of the Democratic Party and the liberal activist network MSNBC, they have yet to accept the results of the 2016 election:
Right up through the election, in which the American people are either going to re-elect him or elect Joe Biden instead. Because part of the way we got this president, part of the way he was elected was itself not just a scandal, but a crime, and I’m not just speaking hyperbolically.
Not only did Maddow falsely state that Trump committed a crime to get elected president, she also clearly phrased that the 2020 election will be Joe Biden against a criminal. Maddow’s goal was to delegitimize Trump’s hard fought 2016 victory, so that she can stop living in her self-described “terrible terrible dream.” Trump has been at war with the Democratic Party and the liberal media since the day that he was elected president, and time after time was never found guilty in any of the accusations against him.
Maddow claimed that she wasn’t “speaking hyperbolically,” but that was exactly what she was doing. If she wasn’t speaking hyperbolically, and had true evidence that Trump committed a crime, then the Democrats would have impeached Trump over said crime, not the weak Ukrainian scam.
To Maddow the upcoming election is a game, hence why her obsession in taking down Trump has been so strong:
We all know and the prosecutors in the case know that the president, more than anything, the president wants to run out the clock, but they know that and now they are running too. Game on.
By saying “Game on,” Maddow, once again, laid out her agenda: get Trump no matter what it takes. She made it a point to state that the Supreme Court ruled that the president is not above the law, but forgot to mention that they also decided that Congress also isn’t above the law and should have limits on subpoena power.
Maddow has made it quite obvious that delegitimizing Trump is her prerogative, and that also means not holding Biden accountable for all of his scandals. The liberal media has no morals and will say and do anything to undermine the American people to try and get Biden elected.

RACHEL MADDOW: A lot of these sort of tales. And here’s one, where the tale wraps around from the all the way back to the way Trump was elected in the first place. It wraps all the way from then right here to now, at the end of this presidential term. Right up through the election, in which the American people are either going to re-elect him or elect Joe Biden instead. Because part of the way we got this president, part of the way he was elected was itself not just a scandal, but a crime, and I’m not just speaking hyperbolically.
Federal prosecutors in New York say, that he directed the commission of a felony scheme by which illegal contributions were made to his campaign in the form of hundreds of thousands of dollars in payments that were made to two women, to stop those women from speaking publically before the election about them allegedly having affairs with the president.

MADDOW: There are so many scandals of this presidency, it is hard to remember that they are all about this one president, it is hard to keep all of them in mind. But some of the ones that went past us really aren’t past, not if there's accountability for some of the things that are not just bad, they’re crimes. That bottom line is what the Supreme Court said today, in affirming 7-2 that the president is not above the law, the question is whether that accountability comes in time to make a difference in terms of his political future. I mean, in the case of the state prosecutors, in the case of Trump v. Vance, District Attorney, that is a legitimately open question. We all know and the prosecutors in the case know that the president, more than anything, the president wants to run out the clock, but they know that and now they are running too. Game on.
